The No Muslim Ban Ever Campaign Condemns Trump Administration Issuance of South Sudanese Ban
The No Muslim Ban Ever campaign, a coalition of more than 200 progressive, faith, immigrant, and civil and human rights groups, condemns the Trump administration’s South Sudanese ban, issued on April 6, that immediately revokes visas for South Sudanese passport holders and bars them from entry into the U.S. This move comes as South Sudanese communities navigate the multiple and intersecting crises of famine, mass displacement, and a possible return to civil war. We stand with our South Sudanese family, community members, and neighbors suffering the direct harms of this policy, including family separation and unsafe country conditions.
The Trump administration continues to push white supremacist and exclusionary policies that discriminate on the basis of faith, national origin, and immigration status. These hateful policies are terrorizing our communities every single day with student visa revocations, mass deportations, and invocation of the Alien Enemies Act. In the face of these attacks, we remain strong in our unwavering commitment to justice. We will continue to defend the rights, dignity, and freedom of all communities.

The #NoMuslimBanEver campaign is led by the Asian Law Caucus, CAIR’s San Francisco-Bay Area chapter, MPower Change, Muslim Advocates, and the National Immigration Law Center. The campaign is endorsed by more than 200 organizations and represents a diverse community of Muslim, Arab, Middle Eastern, and South Asian organizations and allies in progressive, faith, human rights, and immigrant sectors who came together in response to the Trump administration’s persistent efforts to ban individuals from Muslim-majority countries as part of its larger xenophobic, white nationalist agenda of exclusion.
